These terms are an agreement between you and PortPal LLC (“PortPal”, “we”, “us”), which operates the PortPal app and this website.

PortPal shows how long an excursion takes against how long your ship is in port. That estimate is built from schedules and operator information, and any of it can be wrong or can change on the day. Ships shift their departure. Traffic happens. Excursions run late.

You are responsible for being back on board before your ship sails. PortPal is a planning tool, not a guarantee, and it does not accept liability for a missed departure, for the cost of rejoining your ship at the next port, or for anything that follows from either. If in doubt, leave more time than the app suggests and check with your cruise line.

Text under a port's About heading that is credited to Wikipedia is licensed by its contributors under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license named beside it. It is not PortPal's, and these terms add no restriction to it.

PortPal is not a cruise line and not a tour operator. Excursions are run by independent local operators, and your experience on the day is theirs to deliver. PortPal is also not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any cruise line named in the app.

Today PortPal does not take payment for excursions. Where a booking is completed with an operator, that operator’s own terms, cancellation policy and refund rules govern it. If that changes, these terms will change first and you will be told.

You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us accurate information, particularly your ship and sail date, because wrong details produce wrong timing advice.

PortPal has a feed, party chat, and reviews. When you post there, do not:

• Harass, threaten or abuse another passenger.
• Post content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexual.
• Impersonate someone else, including crew or an operator.
• Post someone else’s cabin number, contact details, or travel plans.
• Advertise, spam, or scrape the service.

You can block anyone, and a block works both ways: neither of you sees the other. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

What you post stays yours. You give PortPal permission to store and display it to the people you chose to share it with, which is what makes the feed and chat work, and nothing more. Delete it and we stop displaying it.

PortPal has not launched. Nothing on this site is a promise that it will launch on any particular date, in any particular port, or at all. Features described here may change or be dropped before release.

Joining the waitlist gets you an email when PortPal opens in your ports. It reserves nothing, costs nothing, and commits you to nothing. Leave any time by writing to team@portpal.io.

When these terms change materially the effective date at the top changes, and account holders are emailed rather than left to notice.
